Conservatives for Clean Energy Announces Theresa Garcia Robertson as Executive Director

Political veteran and former Congressional Aide leads CCE Georgia

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Atlanta, Georgia, April 8, 2019 – Conservatives for Clean Energy (CCE) Georgia announces their first executive director, former congressional aide Theresa Garcia Robertson. Garcia Robertson served on Congressman Lynn Westmoreland’s staff and has managed multiple state senate campaigns and local races.

Garcia Robertson’s hiring comes as CCE implements a plan of strategic growth across the southeast. Theresa will focus on developing awareness of renewable goals, cultivating relationships with clean energy partners and elected officials, and building on the tremendous momentum that Georgia has in world of energy thanks to statewide leadership.

She discussed the organization’s goals: “Our mission statement is clear, to improve the lives of Georgians through more cost effective and cleaner energy. To promote free markets, more competition and a diverse portfolio of renewable energy sources to enhance our quality of life and to provide for our security.”

Last month, CCE released a latest polling results on energy from Governor Kemp’s pollster, Glenn Bolger of Public Opinion Strategies. Georgia voters are strongly behind biomass energy production in this state, with 80% favoring the state continuing to invest in biomass energy.

They clearly recognize the importance of both protecting the right of property owners to produce energy on their land, as well as the right to lease their property for renewable energy production.
