Conservatives for Clean Energy Launches in Georgia

March 20, 2019

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Atlanta, Georgia, March 19, 2019 – Conservatives for Clean Energy (CCE) Georgia launched earlier this morning with a breakfast for policy stakeholders at the Blue Room in the Georgia Freight Depot. State leaders and legislators gathered to hear the latest polling results on energy from Governor Kemp’s pollster, Glenn Bolger of Public Opinion Strategies. They also introduced their first executive director, former congressional aide Theresa Garcia Robertson.

During his presentation, Bolger states, “There is almost unanimous consent that the renewable energy industry is important to Georgia with nearly two-thirds saying it is very important. Nearly 75% of Georgians say they are more likely to vote for a candidate who supports acting to increase the development and use of clean energy. The poll results are very clear, both rural and suburban voters support renewable energy, and would like to see it continue to grow here in Georgia.”

CCE Georgia also introduced their first executive director, political veteran Theresa Garcia Robertson. Garcia Robertson served on Congressman Lynn Westmoreland’s staff and has managed multiple state senate campaigns. She discussed the organization’s goals: “Our mission statement is clear, to improve the lives of Georgians through more cost effective and cleaner energy. To promote free markets, more competition and a diverse portfolio of renewable energy sources to enhance our quality of life and to provide for our security.”
