Raleigh, NC – Highland United Methodist Church in Raleigh is now equipped with 136 panels absorbing energy from the sun.
According to The Christian Post article, North Carolina’s energy regulations do not allow church to directly use the energy it produces. Instead, the church must first sell the power obtained to Duke Energy for five years.
But church investors are still celebrating their long-term decision. They see it as a wise move and hope to set an example for other churches in the area.
